Question: How do you know if a dentist is skilled or not!?

A phone call to the Dental Association will tell you a lot too!.
Takes no skill to pull teeth!.!.!.but a lot to do cosmetic work and root canals!. Finding a dentist you feel comfortable with is a challenge!.!.!.been there myself!.

To find out whether or not a dentist happens to actually be "a good one
is to ask other professionals you know which dentist they know and which one they would choose themselves!.
To be a dentist in the first place requires much education and training!.
So then, what does it take to be a good dentist!?
1!.a degree from a dental school!. (this requires much effort)
2!. a license from the State to practice dentistry and
3!. a fiduciary attitude toward your patients and their dentistry

I don't think its their skill level which really makes a difference, because they've been to the same amount of school!. A good dentist, will have good people skills, be kind, and sincere!. Some dentists have M!.D as well as a D!.M!.D, generally oral surgeons but they will have more insight into general ansethia and such!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
You have asked a good question!. The specialists in town have a good bead on the skill of dentists!. Ask a periodontist or an orthodontist or oral surgeon for the names of some general practioners!. When you hear the same name(s) coming up, you have a good pick!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
