Question: Should my sister change dentist!?
she had two porcelain veneers fitted about 7 years ago and recently one began to crack and gradually broke off!. her dentist said that this could be due to teeth grinding in her sleep [she does this] as one of her teeth has also cracked due to this!.
earlier on today he stuck on her old veneer as he said it has another couple of month's life yet, and he will measure and prepare her new veneer when this old one breaks off again!. my sister wants to know if the process of filing down the teeth and re-fitting veneers is bad for your teeth and if her dentist is doing and saying all the right things, and should she go to a cosmetic dentist instead!? your opinions!?

Since I dont know the exact case I cant comment but I will let you know one thing!. No treatment in dentistry is permanent and 7 years sounds like a decent life for the veneer!. I would carry on with the same dentist and get a new veneer made (wont be much or any tooth preparation) by the same one!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
