What is the difference between hard and soft bristles on a toothbrush?!
Question: What is the difference between hard and soft bristles on a toothbrush!?
I would like to know the advantages and disadvantages!. I'm not sure which would be better!. Or is it a personal preference!?Www@Answer-Health@Com

Dentists usually tell you to use softer ones!. The hard bristles combined with vigorous brushing can in some people damage the gums and the teeth!. Ask your dentist what he recommends, he knows your teeth and gums the best!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
Well it really is what you like best but if the bristles are too hard it can be harmful to your teeth and if they are too soft it wont clean the good enough so i use a medium brushWww@Answer-Health@Com
ALWAYS use soft bristles! I used to think hard bristles were the way to go but they eventually wore away at my enamel on my teeth almost exposing my nerves!. I needed compounds put on my teeth to cover the damage!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
No professional would ever recommend hard bristles!. I don't even know why they make those, except maybe for cleaning tile grout or something!. Dentists and the ADA recommend only soft bristles!. The hard ones can really damage your gums!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
soft bristles are more for your gums, but if you use hard bristles they will make your gums stronger!. hard bristles are better for your teeth!. but most of all its your personal preference :)Www@Answer-Health@Com
