A local dentist advertises on the radio that he can straighten your teeth in 2 office visits, without braces!. I'm real skeptical about his claims!. Maybe someone that is more educated in dentistry can share their opinion!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

The DDS is probably talking about Lumineers/Veneers!. Lumineers is like a fake finger nail!. We have had many patients who have had gaps in their teeth, and crooked and the lumineers help cover them up!. Veneers is also an option but that involves shaving the tooth down to little stubs and custom made veneers would then go in their place!. This is a costly procedure that can run up to $1000-$1500 per tooth! Most doctors measure how many teeth show in your smile (like the front 6 or 8) and then base how many you will need off that!. Your DDS can also do traditional crowns over the teeth and this will have the same cost and effect!.
