Answers:
Wow that really sucks!.

It's your mom's fault, but you can't force her to pay for them!.

I would just tell her you know it was irresponsible, but you didn't expect her to just come into your room and throw things away, and you wouldn't have thrown them away!. Then tell her you are concerned that your teeth will shift, and you can't afford another one!. Then promise that if she gets a new one you will always put it in a case--and use your case!

Also, you need new rules about room cleaning!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

funny how your mother is averting the responsibility!.!. she did toss it now didn't she!?

no, she couldn't feel that there was something in the tissue!? no, i see mom can't double check things eh!?

sorry, she's placing blame!.!.!. i also bet she points her finger alot!.

sorry MOM, you tossed it!

i bet this isn't the first time she placed blame nor will it be the last!.!. she's careless, clumsy and irresponsible!.

too bad she has trouble admitting to it!.!. this started when she was young!.!. probably by her mother who had the same problem!?

mom needs to take responsibility for her carelessness!.

talk with the doc!.!. see if insurance doesn't cover accidents!?Www@Answer-Health@Com

parent, 40 plus years!. (yes, i do know what it is to be a parent for many, many years!.)Www@Answer-Health@Com

WOW! That's exactly what happened to me!. My mother threw away my retainer that was sitting on a paper plate in the kitchen about a month after I got it from having braces on for 4 years!!!!! She told me she wasn't going to pay for me to get a new molded pair, and I was only 16ish at the time, so I said I didn't care!. My teeth weren't crooked to begin with, I had an underbite!. Needless to say, it's been almost 4 years now and I have my underbite back!. Not as bad as it was before, but not as good as it was when I got my braces back!. There really isn't anything you can do except get new ones!. The retainers are molded to what your teeth exactly are to fit perfectly on your teeth to have them on for 8 hours at night, so nothing moves back!.
Honestly, the only thing I can think of is to shop around!. Call all the local dentists in your area that would mold your teeth for a retainer for you, see which ones are the cheapest, and see if you can work some sort of monthly payment plan!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
