Answers:
This all depends on how long ago you had the extraction, what pain meds you are taking and how aggressive you were with rinsing!.

My surgeon told me to not wash my mouth out for 24 hours but they told me to eat something like soup to take my meds right away!.

They also suggested that when I do rinse my mouth out I do it very carefully!.!.!. Basically by softly shaking the water around in my mouth by moving my head not my tongue or cheeks

I would have liked to have not eaten for 24 hours!. To let the blood clot form!. But i thought their would be pain so I ate to take the meds!. I am hoping the soup didn't remove the clot!.

If I had known how little pain I would be in I wouldn't have eaten for the first 24 hours!.

It is important that you still get proper nutrition!. So you need to eat something!.

If you had stitches it will be more difficult to lose the clot and to see if you lost the clot!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

well rinse your mouth out with salt water to prevent infection!. DO NOT DRINK ANYTHING FROM A STRAW because this will remove the clot and the clot needs to stay there!. you will know if it is still there if feel a slimy thing at the back of your mouth where the teeth were and if you have a bloody taste in your mouth its still there but if you have any concerns see your dentistWww@Answer-Health@Com
