Question: Should I pull my tooth or get a filling!?
So, I had a untreated cavity a year ago that broke my tooth in half and there is now a large hole on the side off the tooth!. The tooth no longer hurts but food is always getting stuck in here!. I'm taking antibiotics to control the infection, but should i remove it!. Its in the back so its not going to be noticeable, but still!.!.I like my teeth!Www@Answer-Health@Com

It's usually better to save the tooth if possible!. You may need a root canal and crown!. This stuff is going to cost a lot more upfront than pulling the tooth, but in the long run it will save you!.
If you pull an adult tooth, obviously a new tooth does not replace it, so you have a space there!. Eventually the nearby teeth start to drift over into that spot, and there's a chain reaction so all your teeth (top or bottom) end up moving and spreading out!. That can cause bigger problems that are more expensive than the original root canal and crown that you could have done!.

From what you're saying, it seems like the hole in your tooth is really large!. Depending on your dentist, he may not want to fill it!. Usually when a hole gets too large, fillings placed on the tooth are usually very weak and will end up falling out!. Because it's your back tooth, it also receives most of the impact and pressure when you chew and if you grind or clench your teeth!. You may need to pull your tooth in the end but you can always get an implant to put a fake tooth in it's place!.

See a dentist!. Really, you can't be on antibiotics forever, your body will become immune after a while!. Plus, its not good for you!. I know the prospect of going to the Dentist isn't pleasant (nobody likes to go) but at this point you really do need to go!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
