Question: I'm getting braces next week!?
I'm getting braces next Wensday, and I've heard lots of different stories, like they hurt and the glue they use is nasty and that I won't be able to eat anything I want!. Then some say that they're a breeze and they eat everything they want!. So which is which!? Are braces painful or what!?Www@Answer-Health@Com

depends on how bad your teeth are!. at some point in time i guarantee they will hurt!. stock up on motrin and use the wax they give you or the braces will dig into your lips too!. I eat whatever i want like popcorn and gum, but when they tell you eat liquids and soft foods you'll do it regardless bc it will probably be all you can chew!. good luckWww@Answer-Health@Com

Braces aren't painful, but they can be uncomfortable!. Especially if your dentist wants you to wear bands with your braces!. Even with bands though, they don't hurt, they are just annoying!.
Just make sure you floss and brush your teeth with your braces and you can eat anything you want except sticky foods!. Sticky candy like caramel can rip your braces off your teeth!. Gum is tricky too, it gets caught easily but it won't damage your braces!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

In the beginning they will hurt a little but not severe pain shooting through your teeth nothing like that!. Dont listen to people who say you cant eat anything you want just no nuts, sticky stuff, or apple straight of the core theese will loosen your braces!. You can chew gum with no sugar like Stride, Trident, and Extra!. It will only hurt from 2-7 days it depends!. I have braces and am planning on studying dentistry!. I just got them today!. At first, it just feels like a slight pull, but they start to kill later!. Use lots of wax because it like digs into your mouth!. It's also impossible to chew and the stuff doesn't taste that bad!. It's more uncomfortable than painful!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
