Question: Gum graft -- roof of mouth connective tissue!?
I had a gum graft done four hours ago where they take tissue from the roof of the mouth and put it to the gum!. The roof of my mouth is doing okay but the recipient site hurts horribly!. Is this normal!?Www@Answer-Health@Com

Yes you can expect pain for a few days!. I'm glad the upper is doing ok as this is usually the more painful area!. Use the pain pills and watch what you eat as far as salty, spicy, or hard foods!. Hang in thereWww@Answer-Health@Com

Never heard of this procedure, but a phone call to the dentist may put you mind at rest!. He may well ask you to come in again to see him because there could be a problem!. A phone call is you best bet I think as i think your dentist would have warned you to expect pain if this was normal!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
