How long wait after extraction before smoking?!

Question: How long wait after extraction before smoking!?
I had a tooth extracted on March 17th 2009, and it seemed to go well!. The bleeding stopped shortly after, and I have been following the instructions on the sheet of paper the dentist gave me for over 2 weeks!.

Just wondering if its been long enough that I can do the following without it starting to bleed again or cause a dry socket; drinking alcohol(beer, liquor), smoking, brush teeth normally (like i did before the extraction), or used the side that had the extraction while eating

if you need more info, just ask!.!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

48 hours after extraction, you can start doing all those!. So you're good to go!. I actually waited a week at least!.

I'm so glad that I quit smoking!. There were almost too many of these little worries like how soon can I smoke after tooth extraction!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

PST! If you have gone this long, why not enjoy all that money on something besides smoking!! But if you must your all ready to go unless, you have had any bleedng or pain in that area!. Its the sucking motion from straws and cigarettes that do the damage!.
The alcohol doesnt mix with anti biotics if your on them to prevent infection!. If you have had no problems you should be ok to do as you like, but wow, really consider using the patch for a few weeks, or just be done with smoking if you can, its so much money a month you could really do fun stuff with or go shopping with!!!!Www@Answer-Health@Com

Dentists recommend waiting 48 hours, myself I was smoking a few hours later I was lucky I did not get a dry socket! but I did put alot of gauze over the extraction and blew out the side of my mouth lol!. I worked in the dental field for many years and I can tell you I have seen some people in pain!Www@Answer-Health@Com
