Braces spacers are driving me crazy?!
Question: Braces spacers are driving me crazy!?
I got spacers this wednesday and its killing me!.!.!.when is the pain supposed to stop!? I can't even close my mouth period!.!.!.
For some reason my dentist put on my brackets and the wire and the spacers, I read around and I think spacers are supposed to be on before brackets, like a week before!.
I can't chew with the front or the back of my mouth cos my teeth feel really sensitive, although I don't know why the brackets would make them feel sensitive!.
I only have 8 spacers, I'm wondering, how long do they have to be in, when should the pain stop, and will my teeth hurt after the spacers are off!? Or will the pain go away instantlyWww@Answer-Health@Com

wow 8 thats alot! i had 4 yeah mine dident stop hurting untill they put the braces on but then i had that to worry about i couldent eat anything at all eater like i couldent even eat noodles of even ice cream! i literaly starved my self for the whole week it gets better but it still hurts you probably already have but take some medicine i cried so much when i go mine on but i dont think braces hurt as much as spacers so dont be scared about that!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

i just had 2 of them when i got my braces
and yeah they usually are before you get the wire on!.
When your spacers are off the pain will probably go away, your teeth just hurt because there not use to being in a position like that!.
The spacers only go in for about a week!.
just take some panadol and the pain should go away!.!.

after a few days it will just feel like you have food stuck in your teeth!. when you get them off it feels so much better instantly and they are supposed to go on 2 weeks before you get caps rings or crowns put on so they fit right!. orajel for babies works the best- Good Luck!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!Www@Answer-Health@Com
oh i remember those! i had to miss school and it even hurt to eat noodles!! It was seriously the worst pain my mouth has ever been in!. i think they stayed in for about a week or two but it doesn't hurt as bad the whole time!. I hope you feel better!.!.!. take tylenol!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

it kills like the first two weeks!.eat like soup and fettucini and that!. when u get them off your feel relieved but then you start getting the serious stuff!. it doesnt hurt as bad as spacers though and the pain only last like 3-4 daysWww@Answer-Health@Com
Well, I got an expander on the roof of my mouth before I get braces, so I've only had them four at a time!. When I had them before, they didn't hurt at all until I ate a sausage biscuit the next day, but it was fine about two days later!. I have spacers again now, I got them on Tuesday, on my bottom teeth, and they don't hurt me!. Usually my teeth are pretty sensitive, but my oral hygiene has improved quite a bit recently!.

OMG! I totally feel your pain! I also have had 8 spacers in for 6 days! O the pain is horrible! I did have the metal spacers for 3 days but went in to orthodontist an had them replace with the rubber bands! 6 days later I still can't eat hard or crunchy foods!. My diet is soup an grilled cheese! I have been taking at least 1600 mgs of IBuprofen as my doc recemmended!. But pretty much have to suck it up an deal with the pain!. Also, I think that hot foods feel better than cold! Ramen noodles are awesome to eat!.!. An they make my mouth feel better!. Although I still have pain!.!. Its not near as bad as the first 2 to 4 days!! Good luck and rock those braces!!Www@Answer-Health@Com
