what are the signs of wisdom teeth?!

Question: What are the signs of wisdom teeth?
Hi Im turning 17 and around here they say wisdom teeth can range from 15-25 years of age. I was recently diagnosed with TMJ but for some reason i think my wisdom teeth maybe coming out or my night guard is irritating my mouth yesterday. I got excruciating pain in my jaws and swelling in all four jaw corners in the back where the wisdom teeth should be. I fell asleep but then noticed swelling in those corners... I also used my night guard but then today I took a nap and noticed minor swelling without the night guard and its a little pain back there. I do take good care of my teeth brush, rinse, floss everyday. I saw my dentist about 5 months ago and are due to see him next month he said that my teeth are always well taken care off and look healthy. Could this be my body preparing itself for the wisdom teeth. Jaw stiffness/pain,slight ear pain, headaches, although these are the symptoms of TMJ the gum swelling is what makes me think i might be having a problem with the wisdom teeth or irritated by dry mouth or the night guard. none of my teeth ache but i feel discomfort my sister had to have her wisdom teeth removed and my mother however hers apparently never came through they disappeared the dentist said ... and don't worry if you do think its TMJ i am being treated for TMJ i no longer have my jaw popping or clicking its almost as if the tooth maybe was growing and is now beginning to push through the gums...idk but im tired of worrying to death.

Answers:

your TMJ will cause much jaw pain , and can at times cause swelling so it's good you have a night guard and have been seen about it.
As for your wisdom teeth you will feel gum irratation very far back INSIDE the mouth if they are infact coming through no need to worry time will tell if you need to have them removed as some people do infact have enough room for their wisdom teeth.
and xray will confirm if you have wisdom teeth and if they are coming through but there is nothing to be concerned about!
