chewing tobacco and my gums?!

Question: Chewing tobacco and my gums?
my gum line is going away so i stopped chewing, even though it is hard to not go buy a can. i am stopping for a month or more, will my gums grow back?

will they grow back or am i screwed lol

Answers:

any form of smoking/tobacco can cause gum disease it in fact will and can not grow back but this takes many years of smoking or chewing to happen ! so if your still quite young it could be a matter of gum erosion from brushing to hard which is something i see every day in my line of work , if you brush with a hard toothbrush and scrub instead of brushing lightly this can cause the gums to recide . do not avoid brushing this area even if it bleeds as it will cause inflamed gums but brush ever so lightly with a sensitive paste
