Should i take my sister to the dentist?!

Question: Should i take my sister to the dentist?
Basically, my sister is still losing her baby teeth. She still has one at the back of her mouth which hasnt come out.

This weekend she was with her dad and after having a meal her tooth started bleeding and it felt swollen. He dad checked it out and said it may be an abscess? Now shes back with me (Im her brother, my parents are split and my mums away so im looking after her) Her dad recommended i take her to a dentist. But my doubts are:

my sister always plays up to her dad to get attention, i think she may be overreacting
Its a tooth thats waiting to come out, bleeding ..etc is normal?
Reading up about abscesses she would be experiencing a lot of pain..etc which it doesnt seem like she is.

I have no idea what to do, shall i take her to a dentist? (I dont want to waste a dentists time, esp if its over nothing)

I should also note the bleeding and pain has stopped

Sounds as if that baby tooth is preparing to come out. Relax, whatever it is can wait for another day.

Hello,
You might want to take a look at the baby tooth area to see if there is any food impaction. The baby tooth and permanent tooth don't have the same contour; therefore sometimes there is an open contact and food (sometimes bone, meat, pop corn, etc..) can pact in there. If you don't see anything, let her have some soup for a day and see if there is any more bleeding. If there is, you should take her to see the dentist.
