Question: I had a top tooth extracted 5 days ago, and the roof of my mouth on that side is still numb?
Okay, so wednesday I had my top tooth on the right side extracted, and it is now Monday. The roof of my mouth still feels numb from the extraction site to the back of my throat, almost like the numbing didnt ware off... I called the dentist who did the procedure, and all I got for a response is, thats normal, call me in a couple of days if it doesnt go away.. kinda worried! Any suggestions?

You may have a case of parasthesia. The nerve could have been damaged during the extraction. It may heal, but it usually takes a while.

I am a dentist

If you are worried go to the doctor because you don't want your throat to be numb because you could have swallowing issues or choke on your throat. I mean I don't want to scare you but I don't know how bad your numbing is but I would just check it out to be safe. Better safe then sorry.
