Stiff, sore, popping jaw?!

Question: Stiff, sore, popping jaw?
I don't recall exactly when it started, but I think it's been 2-3 weeks.

It's only on the right side. When I eat my jaw pops. Sometimes it's painful, sometimes it's not. And within the past week it's started feeling sore and stiff.

What's wrong? I have braces, can braces cause this to happen?

Answers:

Yes, you have to check your occlusion by dentist. You maybe have some changes on tempromandibular joint (tmj).
I advice you to visit ortodontist as soon as possible

Hello,
When you wear braces, your teeth start moving and changes your bite. Which is expected. You teeth and your jaw are connected together as one piece. When your teeth moves, it effects your jaw. So during this time you should try to eat soft food and no chewing gum. Let your teeth and your jaw rest as much as possible. If it bother you too much you can ask the Orthodontist to relax the rubber band a little. I hope this help.
