is being a dental hygienist hard on your back?!

Question: Is being a dental hygienist hard on your back?
I seem to always pick the things that are strenuous, lol, I first went to cosmetology school then realized even though I love hair immensely, I couldn't do the standing with my scoliosis. Is the bending over really hard on your back?

Yes it can be because you are leaning over to see the patient's teeth. It is also very hard on your wrists. Several hygienists end up having carpel tunnel syndrome.
