I would talk to your local dentist. Teeth whiting from a grocery store doesn't contain a high level of bleaching compounds. Your dentist carries several different levels of whitening. I would consider talking to your dentist, and you will know if your teeth are sensitive.

Consult your dentist. Crest White Strips usually work pretty well. You may have a hue to your teeth that is more difficult to whiten. People generally have one of three hues: cream, rose, and gray. If you are in one of the latter categories, your dentist will go over your whitening options with you. In my opinion, Zoom is a very expensive rip off. They wow you with the blue light, and when you first leave the office your teeth will be noticably whiter; however, the light really just dehydrates your teeth. Once they rehydrate, they will not look as white.

I work in a dental office and we sell custom dental whitening trays for $285 Tres' white sem-custom trays for $100 and Crest RX strips for $80 that are 60% stronger then you can find in a store. The cheapest way is to go to your dental office and buy a opalescence refill kit at %15 to %35 percent strength. Then go to Sports Authority or Dick's Sporting goods and buy a sports mouth guard that football player's use. Then take a Q tip and paint on the opalescence gel very carefully or you will burn your gums, wait for 15mins for the %35 or 1 hour for the %15 percent for more instructions go to my dental office website at http://www.drtheobald.net/home/542-2/ to find out the rest of the instructions, I hope you find this helpfull and saves you a few bucks until you can get the custom dental trays made.

You can go to your dentist and ask for him/her to make you a whitening kit you can use at home to help whiten your teeth.
Or perhaps invest in Zoom Whitening. It costs a little, but it works!
