scared to death...................................…!

Question: Scared to death.........................…
i am getting one of my back molars extracted.the dentist filled the cracked side with composit filling for temporary pain relief and safe keeping until i get it extracted.

thing is..i am So scared to be put under.i get major anxiety with medications and needles and the anxiety causes nausea.i really do not want to vomit nor do i want the anastesia to make me vomit!

what are the chances of getting the tooth pulled while being awake? can the composit filling withstand the tugging and pulling of the extraction? (i think it might have broken right at the gum line)

Don't worry its fine. You just lie on a bed, and they give you a drink. Next thing you know you are up the next day and can't remember anything that happened.

Plus you get to stay off school and have ice cream as a main meal :DDD

My wisdom teeth wpulnt budge so I had to go to the dental hospital

I'd ask your dentist, there's every chance they can do it with a local. I got four molars out to fit braces and they were all done under local anaesthetic as it's common (in the U.K. at least) not to be put to sleep unless you request it.

If they pull it while you're under a local you'll feel the 'pull' but you won't feel it as pain until the jab starts to wear off, by which point it is more of a dull pain for a few days while it heals.
