It most certainly does not matter what anyone says, especially your friends! This is your teeth, your mouth, how YOU feel! Not anyone else. (Unless there is some major health issue going on that your dentist explained) If YOU want the braces go for it. Braces are an expensive (VERY expensive) appliance and take time and care. So this choice is up to you. If you are happy with your teeth and you feel you don't need them then great! Don't get the braces. If you are unhappy with your teeth and you can afford them, go for it! It's all in what you want. No one else. :)

Honestly, if it is such a small problem that your friends don't see it, the braces will probably only be on for a very short period of time, so I would do it. I've wanted my braces off for so long, but each time I get them adjusted they look so much better and now I'm getting them off in 2 weeks! It's totally worth it! Who knows?! You could end up much happier with your teeth even with little changes!

Personal experience and 5 years with braces(UGH!)

Feel free to ask another dentist for a second opinion if you want, it doesn't hurt to do that. I wouldn't take your friends word for it though unless they're also dentists, otherwise what on earth do they know about your teeth that a qualified professional doesn't?

Get them! Your dentist knows what's best for you, and your teeth. You may not really notice it now, but in a few years you might. So i recommend you get them now, before you hate your teeth- If you do? You might wish you got them(:

Everything(:

Braces cost a lot and therefore dentists want you to get them. But they are dentists and do know more than you're friends. I suggest going to a couple other dentists and seeing what they say.

Do it. Your dentist knows best. I had them and hated them, but now they are off and my teeth look great. Definitely worth it.

One only needs braces if, Their teeth is crooked, meaning twisted or over lap.

you should take the dentists opinion they know best

depends on what you feel
