A requirement for braces is graded- if you have an overbite, rather than just a wonky tooth, then you will be able to have braces fitted on the NHS. If you prefer to pay (all this does is give you more choice over appointment times) then it can cost upwards of ￡2500 minimum. To correct an overbite can take anything from 18 months to 3 years so the number of appointments you will have over that time will be significant. Go to your local dentist and ask for a referral.
