Braces... Can't chew? Not because of pain?!


Question: Braces... Can't chew? Not because of pain?
I got my braces like, 2 hours ago. It didn't hurt and it still doesn't. They put a pile of cement on two of my back bottom teeth because my top teeth were touching the front bottom brackets.

Now I can only touch those two piles together! I cannot chew at all! I have no idea what to do!

You will adjust slowly nor worries I freaked out two I thought I could never eat again ( i got turbos on two front teeth to prevent bracket hitting). It takes like a week, then you wont notice. I also you may think your braces may not hurt today but when you wake up your in for the pain so take meds ! Then you cant eat , only soft foods.

I had the exact same thing for a year.
Honestly , you just get used to it.
Eat things that are easy to chew for the first bit,
or drink soup.
Eventually, it'll get a lot better, and you'll be able to tacker harder food.
Trust me, it''ll get more manageable with time.
