Hello, it depends on where you live and if you need top or bottom braces or both. A full set generally runs around $2000 to $2500 and a partial top or bottom runs between $1200 to $1800. They should work with you on the payments if they are a reputable dentist. I hope this helps.

It totally depends on how much work needs to be done. Most places will work out affordable payments in the range that you've suggested, over the period of 2-3 years. Typically though, there is a down payment up front that you might have to save for first. I've seen full braces for as little as $2,000 to as much as $6,000 in my area.

Braces are very expensive, usually over $1000. If you live in a bigger city Check with a Dental School to see if you can get braces at a discount by having students in training do the work. The students are always watched and guided by instructors.

Do you work for a company that offers Flexible Spending Accounts? If yes, that would be your best bet. I got my braces by using FSA. I elected to have $5000 for the year of 2010.... long story short, I have clear braces and I couldn't be happier.
