Question: The dentist says I have a sticky spot on my tooth?!?
Does that mean cavity?! And also does it hurt as much as a cavity?

It sounds like the beginning of a cavity that is so small that filling it at this point would be impractical. It will probably need filled someday, but you'll be fine. Keep getting 6 month cleanings and check-ups. The worst part of a filling is getting the shot, but it may be so far from the nerve that you won't even need to be numbed.
