Question: How long can i hold off extracting my wisdom tooth?
I have a wisdom tooth that is somewhat impacted, it came out of the gum a little but according to my x ray it is impacted. i want to have it pulled during summer break since i'm not doing anything, can i afford to wait that long? because i heard that an impacted wisdom tooth may get infected, i'm a little worried about that. i still have around 4 and a half months until summer vacation, what should i do?

I had mine out a few years ago, 2 were impacted. I had local anaesthetic and it was no bigger deal than having any other tooth out, the only problem was a numb face for a few hours. Just keep it clean and do it whenever you want.
just brush that tooth properly or the gums over wisdom tooth.night time brushing a must.
keep the area clean with mouthwash.
no infection will be there till you keep it clean.
