Just had wisdom teeth removed?!

Question: Just had wisdom teeth removed?
I'm getting very very moody with my girlfriend over everything, I had the teeth removed at about 9 am, when can I smoke next? It has been around 16 hours since they were removed...my gums are no longer bleeding, don't hurt too bad, i can still taste blood I would rather not the whole dry socket thing but I need nicotine.

Don't smoke until you're healed, that is very VERY important. I know how hard it is to go without, even for a few hours. But you need to wait a few days, 3 minimum. The biggest thing is you can't decrease the pressure in your mouth, if you do that the little blood caps in your gums will pop out and you risk dry socket. One thing you could try is "shotgun" the cigarette. If you have someone else hit the cigarette and blow the smoke into your mouth it is positive pressure instead of negative pressure. That might be very harsh though, which might cause you to cough, which might cause you to gasp for breath between coughs, which might decrease the pressure in your mouth sufficiently to pop the caps, which would defeat the whole purpose. The patch is probably the best idea, there are also lozenges.

Try a patch. And if that doesn't help, you're addicted to more than just the nicotine, and need the habit of going out for the cigarette to calm you down. Also, nicotine is a stimulant, which can actually increase aggression, so that's even further evidence you just need to go for a walk away from her for a few minutes to get the habitual thing from your system.

DONT DO IT!!! You will be so regretful!!!
Dont cause any kind of sucking motion, including a straw or even slurping from a spoon

LOL. That includes face sucking :)
Which neither of you are in the mood for atm anyhow, LOL!

HERES WHY:
It will cause dry socket which is the most painful condition you ever will experience regarding dental pain. You do NOT want this to happen, so try your best to otherwise satisfy those cravings. AND WHO KNOWS! 3 days without a smoke is all it takes to QUIT!
