Question: My dentist saw a radiopaque area on my jaw x ray?
and referred me to an oral surgeon. When I asked her what it could be, she said, "Oh, it's nothing." This can't be true if she is sending me to the oral surgeon. What could this x-ray indicate? Why is my dentist worried? Can any one give me any ideas?

Is it in bone, soft tissue, or a tooth? There are many possibilities of what it could be.
