Can i have a crown or a veneer after having bonding?!

Question: Can i have a crown or a veneer after having bonding?
Hi everyone,
I went to speak to my dentist yesterday about having some bonding done on one tooth (one of the front teeth - it's a lot smaller than the rest of my teeth) and he said that either a veneer or a crown would be better, but they're a lot more expensive and right now i don't have the money. Can i ask my dentist, for example, a year after having this one tooth bonded, to have a crown/veneer? Or will i be commited to having bonding?
Any help would be great!

You can go on to have a crown or veneer done later on but what he is more than likely trying to get you to understand that you will have to pay for the bonding and then pay again to have it all adjusted for either a crown or veneer.

You would do better to save up like mad and go for the better longer term option in the first place.
