Would invisalign help?!

Question: Would invisalign help?
I cant stand when I visit the dentist and they check out my teeth. It's just keeping my mouth wide open and letting someone stick their hands all in my mouth. (His hands are huge and my mouth is pretty small.)
For some time now, my overbite has been bugging me, and my new years resolution is to fix it. ;)
But how can I if I gag each time my mouth stays wide for long?
I finally figured I'd use the famous invisalign teen.. would it help it? or just sit there and do nothing.

Oh, and my teeth are straight; none are crooked. If that helps.

Invisalign does not really fix bite problems the way braces does. I have Invisalign and I will still have my overbite in the end of my treatment. They will still have your mouth open wide with Invisalign, especially when taking the impressions. I sware they hold it in your mouth for at least 5 minutes. Your mouth will have to be open regardless to which treatment you get. Invisalign will be a shorter time in the end but it will not completely fix your problem.

As far as I know invisalign is completely custom to your mouth and requirements, so depending on the severity of your overbite it should fix it. But you will still have to go to the dentists initially for the fittings and everything. Have you considered registering with a different dentist?

You do not say how old you are but either way invisalign is a private treatment only and will be expensive. Perhaps 1500 and upwards.

If you are under 19 and in full time education and have genuine clinical need then you can have one course of orthodontics for free under the NHS.

Both require treatment and surgery time as well.
In the first instance talk to your own dentist and see if you will qualify and then look for a referral to a practise that does what you want but be prepared to pay for it.

Invisalign can be used for jaw realignment, check with a invisalign specialist if it can help you with other things too.

Yes but if you're case is to bad then you need braces. I have braces and there fine :)
