Can getting punched in the jaw mess up your teeth?!

Question: Can getting punched in the jaw mess up your teeth?
So I went looking for a friend asked someone if he'd seen him next thing I know this big *** dude turns around and punches me in the face I don't know what the **** was going on so I just got out of there. but anyways my teeth feel really weird when i just relax them and bight down did this guy jack up my teeth can I sue him and get me some braces? Or is it just the swelling of my jaw that makes my teeth feel weird when I bite down? and please no answers from pressing girls that have obviously never gotten punched like I just did I really hate wasting my points. Thank you though :)

While it's true I've never got punched in the jaw, and I am but a lowly girl, you should see a dentist.

My husband (a guy!) took a racket to the face and it felt just "funny" until his teeth started to become infected because of tiny unseen cracks. "Funny" progressed quickly to excruciating pain and root canals.

See someone--then pursue the legal aspect.

I'm not only a girl, I'm a mom, so naturally....we worry.

Take care, good luck.

Yes, it can mess up your teeth. It just depends on how hard and where you got hit. Imagine getting hit by a mack truck... your teeth would be really jacked up then. In fact, I'm pretty sure swelling in the mouth can alter your teeth as well. One time I had to get surgery on my mouth and in order to do it, they had to swell up a spot on my gums. Ever since, it affected the position of one of my teeth even after the swelling had gone back to normal.

not really except one time when i punched this kid so hard his entire jaw ripped off his head and oviously he teeth went with it seeming as there connected to the jaw so basicly it ripped them off with the entire jaw but thats different im unhuman super monster punch thats makes dealthtramental blows but normal people that hit me in the jaw doesnt really do anything to my teeth so id say no it doesnt unless you are me

Of course it can if you got hit hard enough to loosen your teeth and yes you can sue, although you might want to consider pressing charges instead. If he gets convicted, you can request restitution for your dental bills...and I'm a girl..a smart one. ;)

Yes, also a broken jaw.

Toats depended on where and how hard dude.

heck yes
