Question: Getting braces soon. I have some questions?
Hi, so Im getting braces becaus I have an underbite. Most of my friends all have braces, and they were telling me about this one thing while getting there braces on: This sour liquid stuff that you can't swallow? It helps the braces stick or something. What is that? Is that was it does? My friend says it like super sour. Is it? I'm really confused! Thanks for you help though :]

Hello! Don't be worried about getting your braces on, you'll be fine. :) So when you get your braces on they will put in a little tongue thing and you just have to make sure that you keep your tongue under it so that you won't taste anything. Yes, they did get a little bit on my tongue, and it is sour, but it is nothing to freak out about.

The sour liquid stuff glues the metal parts onto each tooth (and then the colored bands and wire will go on.) It's sort of sour, but not like insanely sour haha. It's really gross and dries out your mouth :/ but it's bearable. (:
