why are pieces of the roof of my mouth falling off?!


Question: Why are pieces of the roof of my mouth falling off?
pieces of the roof of my mouth are sluffing off. right behind my upper molars is were it is and itss raw and a little sore. i just figures it was cuz of eating dry cheerios. but it lasts awhile?

The tissue in your mouth can actually peel for many reasons. I had my entire mouth and my tongue peel after I ate a whole bunch of very, very vinegary potato chips. It can also happen if the tissue is excessively dry. Smoking or chewing tobacco can cause this too. It could also be a fungal infection, or it could even be caused by a change in toothpaste (did you change to a new kind recently?). The overuse of mouthwash, eating mints, prescriptions or medicines, etc can cause it too.
