Is this normal after a wisdom tooth extraction...?!

Question: Is this normal after a wisdom tooth extraction...?
I had my top right wisdom tooth extracted yesterday. It was a relatively easy one to take out with the extraction lasting only 10 minutes. So all they did was put local anaesthetic.

It's been 26 hours after the extraction, & since the extraction, I've felt NO pain whatsoever *Knock on wood*, & I didn't need to take any painkillers. I'm happy that this is happening, but is this normal? I mean, I've read about pain being a normal occurrence after extraction, but to me it has been non-existent thus far.

Am I out of the woods in terms of pain, or will it start hurting?

Answers:

You are not out of the woods but everyone experiences pain differently. It sounds like you extraction was done like other tooth extractions are done, some people need their wisdom teeth out before the erupt so the surgeon has to cut the gum tissue and dig the tooth out which would cause more pain. Just listen to you post extraction care instructions and you will be fine.
