Baby teeth came in broken?!

Is it actually separated or is it just a hairline crack? Baby teeth can be like a serrated knife on the top with up and down grooves. This is very common and sometimes the adult teeth come in that way as well. They usually get worn down with time and look more even as years go on. If you put a flashlight behind your front teeth you may be able to see fine cracks in them. This is also fairly common and will not affect their lifespan or they will not break in half. All children should go to the dentist to have their teeth and bite checked on a regular basis, twice a year. Make sure to help your baby clean her teeth at least twice a day. Although they are baby teeth it is very important for them to be healthy and to hold a proper place for the eventual eruption of the adult teeth.

A picture would be better. It sounds like the tooth did not form properly teeth are amazing strong and they should not break that easily unless something is wrong. I would advise you take the baby to a dental professional immediately to have them examine the tooth and oral cavity in general.
