What problems would I have with tooth implants?!

My husband had two implants and they are doing well. One is about 10 years old and the other about 4-5. He is now 60. I have a bridge and wish badly that I had gotten an implant but I had too much bone loss to do one. If you wait too long you also may loose too much bone in the area to do an implant. If you are a smoker you have to stop as the blood does not get enough oxygen to support the newly imported post and tooth. I'd say go for it. Good luck.

Implants are now considered to a permanent option. The infection risk is minimal and the process from start to finish will take six months or more. It is the equivalent of having a permanent pin placed in bone and being allowed to set and bond long before the crown is added to finish the implant.

I have four and have had no problems at all and I am really pleases with the result. I am currently waiting to have a front tooth out and an implant put straight in as well. But I used an implantologist who does them all the time for the implants themselves and then my own dentist finished them off.
I had a scan as well before starting to check all was well and there was enough depth etc for it to work.

Healing an be an issue if you are a heavy smoker in some cases but overall expense is worth it.

Implants are amazing an when done properly they will last for a long time. If it is taken care if it shouldn't get infected, I would highly recommend one.

They will keep the bone from resorbing.
