teeth whitening, help?!

Question: Teeth whitening, help?
so today i went to my dentist to pick up my teeth whitening kit. i applied it a couple of hrs later, and now my bottom teeth hurt so bad. i have no clue what it is, it feels like some one is putting really cold ice on the inside of my teeth and it just hurts a ton.
has anyone experienced this before? what is this?

Answers:

That is a side effect of whitening. Try applying the kit once a day for a hour. And go buy some toothpaste for sensitive teeth.
Do not put ice on it! Also do not eat any colored foods 3 hours after you have whitened as it stains your teeth because the pores in your teeth are open!
Floss and brush before application so the whitening gets in-between your teeth.

Irrespective of the method adopted, you need to understand that you are using a bleach formula on your teeth, which can be uncomfortable if used in a improper manner.

The intensity of reaction to any teeth whitening method depends on 3 things

Genetics, Bleach Stability and Acidic reaction.

The minute dentinal tubules inside the teeth consists of a fluid and the movement of these fluids is what causes sensitivity. Usually the outer holes of these tubules are plugged by the Saliva. However the bleaching agents tend to dissolve these plugs and thereby causing the fluids to move inside the tubules and cause sensitivity.

It's a known side effect for people who have sensitive teeth and the strong solutions you can get from the dentist can really make them hurt. Call up your dentist and tell them what happened and see what they can do for you.

Must be some plaque building up or something.

Anyways you answered my other question about Indian guys, I wanted to ask you something, can you enable messaging?

Also what are you? Black? White? Asian? Spanish?

You have sensitive teeth and the bleach is burning the nerves.
