You need to see a dentist asap. Either the filling the dentist placed isn't any good or the cavity was too close to the nerve and it's getting infected. Either way only a dentist can help.

Depends on exactly what work has been carried out and what the dentist said you should expect because some procedures do have some pain associated with it that may last a while. You should ring your dentist right away and immediately ask for an emergency consultation. You may also be able to ask whoever takes your call for advice if you have concerns regarding your recent appointment with them as they access your file for any notes the dentist has made on that if you have forgotten what the dentist said to you in regards to it.
If your tooth is as bad as it is I wouldn't worry about what the technical aspects were and what types of remedies there are and take immediate action to find assisstance. If you feel it is necessary you may even go in to a medical clinic or hospital which can advise you on your health problem.
Now with that said I can tell you how bad my tooth was when I had to get root canal and a wisdom tooth removed that was infected and blocking the other tooth from being worked on. Ended up having to live with a hairline fracture that still hurts when I apply too much pressure on it. However when that gets unbearable I am left with the option of pulling it and having one less tooth to eat with. With the thousands of dollars I've put in and the thousands more dollars of work to go including long queues at some of the cheaper places I've been I would say to you to suck it up and go get help. The fact is no-one but a professional can help you and there are ways to minimise costs but for you it could be a point of being deadly. Many people have died of abcesses etc because they couldn't afford to see somebody right away and if you want to risk your life because of money then good luck to you.
