how long after first visit do u get braces?!

You'll probably be looked at, a model will be made of your teeth and x-rays will be taken. Then, an orthodontist will give your parents or you an idea of how long you'll need braces and what they plan to do with your teeth. You will probably be given some small rubber bands which will be placed on the back 2 top teeth, or all 4 teeth depending on what you ortho wants to do concerning top and bottom braces, called "spacers" which will help push the gums away from the teeth so the braces will not hurt so much when being put on.

I would say a week to a month till your next appointment if this is what goes on there. If it's just talking, then you're going to have to come back again before you can schedule the appointment where they actually put the braces on.

It depends on your ortho because some ppl in this section say a month after your first visit. But I'm getting mine next week and that's only gonna be my second visit.

It also depends if you need spacers or teeth pulled and stuff. :)

Idk what usually happens but on my first visit they take look at your teeth and do X-rays and they talk about how long you might have braces, and how much its gonna cost. Stuff like that.
