Wisdom teeth stitches came off, soft tissue moving?!

Question: Wisdom teeth stitches came off, soft tissue moving?
I got my wisdom teeth pulled on Monday, on Friday I thought i had a canker sore right on one of the surgical areas because i felt some pain and saw a white round dot on there.. but as i pulled my cheek away the white dot lifted up and I realized it was a piece of soft tissue that had turned white! it looks like one of the stitches at the very end of the incision toward my inner mouth had come out and a little piece of soft tissue might have been torn off from the stitches.. it isn't bleeding but it hurts and a small little piece of tissue flaps around when i open and close my mouth causing the pain im experiencing, it's the size of a canker sore and feels like a canker sore pain as well. will this heal on its own if i just keep my mouth clean and rinse it regularly with salt water or should i go back to see my dentist?

See your dentist

The stitches are designed to last for around 2-3 weeks but have done their job after around 5 days so dont worry about this. The white gum sounds like scar tissue and is normal but the pain you have is not, flappy sore gums are not okay, You sound like you may have an infection, this could be caused by the irritation of the stitches or a dry socket. Keep rinsing with the salt water and get an appointment asap to get a rinse out and antibiotics.

I am a dental nurse in the UK

Rinse your mouth with salt + luke warm water 3-4 times a day, it should help.
