Question: Can a throat infection cause your teeth to hurt?
i had a cold last week and since then the right side of my throat hurts so much that my teeth hurt,when i swallow it hurts so much but just that side,i went to the dentist and he did a filling and said the tooth next to the one he filled will need work in the future but i should be fine,that night the pain was back,it goes away with motrin,i have a feeling it is my throat causing the pain,when my throat hurts my entire row of teeth on the same side hurt.,problem is i don't have insurance i paid cash and i need to know if i should pay a dr to check my throat or go back to the dentist?

Having a throat infection can cause pain in you teeth, your upper molars are connected with you maxillary sinus (by your nose). Also there is lymph nodes around you lower jaw that could swell due to infection.

Keep taking the pain medication and go to you regularly scheduled dental appointments.

No matter what it sounds like an infection the doctor can give you antibiotic for your throat and they will also help with the infection near your mouth.
