Question: MY MOM THINKS I Can"t EAT CHIPS WITH BRACES?
Ok well I got braces about 3 or 4 months ago then we went to the doctor not the braces doctor but cleaning teeth doctor.Well we went there for are sixth month check-up and I had no cavitys ok befor I say this im gonna say I am super duper skinny just to let you know.Well my mom is like im suprised she's always eating chips.Then the doctor is like o..thats not good if you eat chips all the time when we take off the braces there will be windows and,he said I can eat a little but not alot and,after I have to brush my teeth really good.So now my mom is saying I can't have them two years straigh I mean please explain I can eat them every once and awhile.

found this really strange sorry, I ate chips, lots of chips when I had my braces on they were fine :) probably just another theory on what you can and can't eat my mum drove me mad picking on what I was eating but most foods are fine and have no impact, but hard foods may snap the brace but never heard of not eating chips my friend had braces for seven years and always ate chips and she has the most gorgeous smile now. I can't find any research on-line that says avoid chips :D
