Will I get a gap in my teeth from my expander?!

Question: Will I get a gap in my teeth from my expander?
I'm 14 and apparently need braces. My orthodontist is going to put an expander in before the braces. This is the second time I have had one, the first time being for five months when I was eleven. For awhile while the expander was being turned, I had a large gap in my front teeth which closed. Will this happen again when I get my second expander?

Yes it will most likely happen again, but the gap will close eventually. Most people have gaps in their teeth anyway.

me

yeah probably. it'll suck but you'll be glad you did it when you're older

yes bc it is pulling apart your jaw bone which splits in between your 2 front teeth

That's what an expander is for. So yes it will
