OK. Start with the very back wisdom tooth on the Upper right side of the mouth...That tooth is #1 and the next #2 and the next #3..all the way around until you reach the wisdom tooth on the Upper left side.. Then go to the Lower left wisdom tooth, it's going to be #17 and as you go around tooth by tooth in numerical order you end up with tooth #32 at the lower right wisdom tooth....That is the Numerical System.
NOW,,Numbers 8 & 9 are called Upper Centrals and numbers 24 & 25 are the Lower Centrals. Numbers 7 & 10 are called Laterals as are 20 & 23. Numbers 6 & 11 are Cuspids as are 22 & 27. Numbers 4-5-12-13-28-29-21& 20 are all Bicuspids. Numbers 3-2-14-15-18-19-3- & 31 are molars..Numbers 16-17-1 & 32 are wisdom teeth.
Also..Centrals are referred to as Left or Right, Upper or Lower. same with Cuspids. Bicuspids and Molars are referred to as the Upper or Lower, Right or Left and if it's the First or Second meaning the Bi cuspid or Molar closest to the front is the "First" the one next to it is the "Second".
