what are these blue things called (braces)?!


Question: What are these blue things called (braces)?
they are these blue chunks on my back molars that are supposed to keep my top teeth from hitting my bottom brackets. when they are put on, they're in like, a gel form, then the ortho dries them onto my teeth. i need to know cuz i need more added on, and i dont know what they're called. i thin they'r called bumpers, but i'm not sure. when i typed braces bumpers into google images, it didnt look like what i have

The "chunks" are actually cement and they are just there so you don't hit the brackets together. And so if you have a over/under bite you don't chip any teeth.
