i have braces, and my tooth started hurting about this morning when i wake up. only half of the tooth is hurting so i don't know if its just the push for the braces or its a cavity. ive been brushing twice per day and 3 minutes per time. do i have cavities?...

As this answer will be not you want to hear, nobody really knows.
My teeth in the bottom backside really hurt when i just suck in air. Or when i brush my teeth.
But when i got my braces off, the dentist told me that i got no cavities.
I think its just that your teeth just shifted.

You could just have sensitive teeth. Or you could have cavities. I too have braces, and my teeth are sometimes very sensitive to any touch.
