It isn't going to hurt when they do it, if a dentist does it there's Novocaine and laughing gas. If an oral surgeon does it they will put you to sleep. Not eat perhaps a couple of hours, till the Novocaine wears off. They will give you a prescription for pain, take one before the numb wears off. Other than that just follow the instructions the doctor gives you.

I had all four of my wisdom teeth pulled :/

hmm, expect some nausea afterward (from the anesthetic)...and honestly that was the worst part for me.

The bleeding stops pretty fast.

You don't feel the pain for a few hours, and its more just a soreness from having your mouth stretched open for so long, not from the actual removal of the teeth.

From my experience, I was eating once the anesthetic wore off and blood stopped (soup and pudding and stuff like that hat~), but for the first few days to a week you cant really chew anything because the holes are closing up. Once you're able to eat again, I would just advise not eating anything really hard or sharp, b/c the holes are still sensitive (not fun to eat chips and have them poking you there^^;)

but all-in-all it really wasn't a bad experience. i was expecting a lot worse~ and the whole procedure only took about 10 minutes per tooth for me :/

had teeth pulled :/

I got a few teeth pulled when i was younger. It did hurt. but i was under something so i didnt wake up til it was over.
1) Exect to get a few teeth pulled.. its not that bad
2) It hurts maybe for the rest of the day. But not a bad pain . it only hurts like if your eating chips.
3)You can eat right after it. Just i would suggest soft foods like mac n cheese not something like a steak.
4) Like i said i got a couple teeth pulled in the morning and i was eating but that afternnoon. its not that bad..
Good Luck,

1. First they numb you with the gel (so the needle doesn't hurt), then they numb you with a needle, then they let you sit there for awhile so your whole mouth feels numb, then they take pliers and twist the tooth until it comes out.

2. Most people think the needle must really hurt, but to tell you the truth it really doesn't, you just feel a little prick, kinda like poking yourself with a tooth pick, and you are all numb, so you can feel pressure, but it doesn't hurt when they take the tooth out. To tell you the truth i think the worst part is the noise, when they take the tooth out there is a loud cracking noise, that's the worst part.

3. You have to wait until you are not numb at all until you can eat, it's about half and hour to an hour, the doctor will tell you.

4. Yeah i kinda told you about my experiences in all the points, but i've had 3 teeth pulled before. (not at the same time.)

I hope your not too nervous, and i hope i helped you....

They will get you numb up. Then once the tooth is out you may need a stitch may not. They will give you some gauze. Keep ice on your face 10 min on 10 min off. No drinking through a straw of spiting. Softer diet. Later that day you will be fine to eat softer foods. In the morning rinse with warm salt water. And, all should be well then you will go back for your follow up appointment.

1) is it a wisdom tooth?

2)i had one impacted tooth extracted and it hurt like a b**** even though they gave me the general anesthetic.

3) i was on fluid diet for a week
