I had a filling 30 days ago, and my tooth is all of a sudden very sensitive to c!

Question: I had a filling 30 days ago, and my tooth is all of a sudden very sensitive to cold foods/drinks?
I know that when teeth are sensitive to cold it's usually something wrong with the root, but I would think that they would have noticed that the last time when they were doing the filling. They also did xrays and they came back fine? The tooth wasn't sensitive at all until yesterday, not even before the filling, so what could be causing this?

that same exact thing happend to me too. i got 3 fillings two front and one back and its sensitive when i drink cold water its really annoying

i asked my dentist and he said that my teeth are just adjusting to the changes in my teeth. it should go away

? My teeth are sensitive. In the front, I am sensitive to hot and cold. On the sides, sensitive to sweet and sour. Bleh. I would call your dentist and ask about it, but it might just be something you have to deal with. Sometimes teeth are sensitive without reason, or without anything being wrong.

you may have bitten down too hard on something and moved the filling , amalgam fillings take time to harden as the mercury leeches out (into you), but very few dentists today are 100% competent and any filling will damage a tooth more in seconds than months or even years of decay, the normal route today is - small filling >bigger filling> really big filling> crown > replacement crown> implant - all costing a lot of money
