Are human molars and premolars structured differently? How?

Answers:

yes,premolars have 1-2 cusps or(points) on the biting surface, and 2 roots.
molars have 4 cusps,and sometimes a 3rd molar will have 5 cusps,which is called the Cusp of Carabelli.and your bottom molars have 2 roots,while your top molars have 3 roots.
