Besides not wearing your retainers after braces, can you think of any other ways!

Question: Besides not wearing your retainers after braces, can you think of any other ways that your teeth can shift?
Or is not wearing your retainers the only reason in the history of braces history in history? o.o

Answers:

I think that if your wisdom teeth grow in, your teeth could shift.

probably if you always have a over or under bite on purpose like every time you bite down. WHy would you want your teeth to go back? I only wear my retainer at night when I go to bed and take it out in the morning. It's not that bad

Your teeth cannot move after braces if you wear your retainers. The only other way teeth can shift is from age. Gum disease can also cause teeth to shift because of bone loss.

Ortho asst. 9 yrs

yes some teeth sink afterwards. retainers cant control it. Mine sank as I grew up and my jaw got bigger. I wore my retainers everyday.

If I punch you in the face your teeth will probably shift...
