Question: I have a question on deep cleanings!?!?
On Thursday I have a deep cleaning. I have to get shots which I've had before, and they're also going to give me gas. Do either of these help? I'm really scared, but I've had 12 teeth pulled already, is it worse then that?

Hi There,
It can be worse than the extraction because once the numbness wears off, you will have some discomfort when eating and brushing your teeth that are remaining. Hot and cold can affect it also depending on how deep your pockets are around your remaining teeth.
Use warm salt water rinses and make sure to keep the areas clean.
